Ok, as a member of the powerful elite media, I feel like I have special powers. Now, I don’t want special treatment, but over the years, I have sometimes entered arenas through the staff entrance. I have let people know that I am Peter Thiele with radio station such and such. I have never abused such privilege. I just have played the card.

Recent news story from Florida, a Miss Jillian Kristina McCarney, 21, daughter of Dan McCarney, University of Florida football defensive line coach and assistant head coach played the Do you know who I am card on the cops, while hosting a kegger. Not a good idea. Here is a tip, never play the do you know who I am card with the cops. Miss McCarney was arrested, surprise! You will lose every time like Miss McCarney did.

A talk show host who worked for me years ago was stuck in road construction traffic. He played the do you know who I am card. The road construction worker told him that he couldn’t care less and that he could take a you know what you know where. My nice employee did not play it well.  The construction worker realized who he had cussed out, called the station and apologized to me. I called my talk show host and told him that I knew that he failed to use the do you know who I am card properly. He was quite embarrassed.

I guess the lesson is this. Treat every body with respect. I have used the do you know who I am card. I have never abused it. Treat all as you wish to be treated. The person who is the janitor has as much human value as the CEO and needs to be treated as such. Quite frankly, the CEO likes to be treated like a regular person for the most part. CEO’s have people who are kissing up to them constantly instead of being real to them. Janitors have people talk down to them instead of giving them respect. Maybe the question is do you know who they are? The answer will always be Human Beings created in the image of God.  

As relatively new members of the New York City community, my wife and I are experiencing the four seasons fully for the 2^nd year in a row. We previously had lived in South Carolina and San Francisco, two places not known for winter extremes.

As I keep reading, and seeing on the idiot box, the polar bear is in deep trouble. There may be as few as 20,000 of these suckers. Apparently, we have caused this issue through global warming, strike that, CLIMATE CHANGE. Ice has melted and polar bears can’t eat, can’t get out of the water, so these vicious creatures are starving and drowning. With so few polar bears, it is important that we extent winter. So, I am doing my part! I am turning off unnecessary lights. Radio stations are filled with different types of equipment. Some of these pieces of equipment are not necessary to be on 24/7, so I am turning them off. Why do I do this? For those vicious polar bears, you see, a polar bear is even more dangerous than a chimp on Xanax. These suckers are pure predators. Polar bears will eat you first and ask questions later. Environmentalists love those polar bears. 

In the Presidential Campaign, we kept hearing about John McCain would be George W. Bush’s 3^rd term. Fair enough, Barack Obama promised that a new day of hope and change. This Obama guy said that he would bring a new tone to Washington. A new post partisan age that would change America for the better and we bought it… hook line and sinker.

In the early days of the transition, it was looking pretty good. Obama seemed to find a pretty accomplished cabinet with ease. Obama’s team seemed able to put together a cabinet in fairly good order. Republicans seemed encouraged by the status quo at the department of defense and the new national security team. 

Ok, then the list of moveon.org cronies arrived. I guess that was to be expected. 

FAST FORWARD

To the stimulus bill

President Barack Obama said that he was leaving the details of finishing the stimulus bill quote unquote to Harry Reid. Obama seems lost. Obama does not know how to broker a deal.

With the early cabinet appointee problems and missteps, I, Peter Thiele can only come up with only one conclusion.

Barack Obama is just like Bill Clinton except Obama does not have Clinton’s leadership skills or zipper problems.

President Obama always seemed to walk effortlessly through everything. I really have admired how he seemed to campaign against the Clinton machine without a care in the world. You never heard about an explosive Obama temper. You never heard about how candidate Obama was not prepared. This guy was running 18 hours a day for almost 2 years. He looked amazing.  There were times the Obama campaign was adrift, but for the most part the campaign was incredible.

Now for the hard part…

GOVERNING

President Obama has never run anything before. He didn’t even run a Fotomat, a McDonald’s or a 4-H club. Mr. Obama was a guy who seemed able to work whatever system there was to his advantage even though seemingly he was the odd guy out. Now as President, Obama appointed political hacks to cabinet positions instead of his promise of a new post partisan administration. The partisan hacks have been stabbing President Obama in the back. I don’t agree with much of what Mr. Obama offers, and I confess am sort of enjoying his trials & tribulations. 

But leadership is doing what is right and not what is popular or politically expedient. President Obama may have never learned that lesson as a US Senator or a political organizer.

President Obama needs to personally fix the procedures for who gets into his administration. President Obama needs to learn from George W. Bush, who had only one washout for a cabinet position and that was months before taking office. 

I, Peter Thiele am a HUGE fan of the Minnesota Vikings.  Even though, my purple heroes lost the last time in the superbowl a long time ago.  I don't like to see the teams that have defeated my Vikes win again.  So, go Cardinals.  I also am really sick of those stupid touchdown towels.  I happen to enjoy both The Giants and The Jets.  I have been to a Giants game and the fans are just terrific.  The J-E-T-S fans I am sure are great as well.

Years ago, I was acquainted with Larry Fitzgerald Sr.  Larry is a great guy.  I have always been a fan of his son and Arizona Wide-Our Larry Fitzgerald Jr.  Larry Sr. is the type of man that everyone would want to watch the game with and have as a neighbor.  Go Arizona.
